One of the many decisions that a bride and groom will have to make is whether or not to have a seating chart. If they choose not to have a seating chart, it's very simple and not much else will need to be done, as guests will simply seat themselves. If they do choose to have one, as is the more common practice, it is very important to keep the environment in mind when putting it together.
One of the more common complaints that DJs and live entertainers face has to do with volume of music. In some cases, the entertainer simply has the volume up too loudly, but in most cases, this is due to seating arrangements. Very often, elderly guests who do not like music loud are seated directly by the speakers, while guests who want to dance and have it loud are seated a distance away. Avalon Entertainment takes this seriously, as we want a fantastic experience for both our clients and their guests. We work with our clients by informing them ahead of time where speakers will be placed so that they can keep this in mind.
Other environmental factors may include placing guests close to restrooms who might need to use them more frequently, guests by the dance floor whom you expect to dance the most, and even placing guests that you have concerns regarding drinking too much away from the bar.
